The Psychology Of Color

Have you ever wondered why most restaurants used the color ‘red’ in their logos, or why the color ‘black’ is often associated with death?

PaintersofLouisville.com has created an infografik that explains the psychology behind colors and the effects that they have on people.

According to the infografik, restaurants use red because it stimulates appetites, while black—although often used to symbolize death and evil—is also employed by luxury brands to enhance the feeling of sophistication.

The infografik also reveals that most men prefer the color ‘blue’ and it actually encourages productivity and curbs the appetite.

Maybe we should paint our workspaces blue to make us more productive during the day.
